Kathmandu, April 10 : Nepal India Human Development and Friendship Association (NIHDFA) has provided 200 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE) for use by the health workers of the Sudur Paschim (Far-West) State.
Minister of State for Urban Development Rambir Manandhar handed over the PPEs to Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation, Bina Magar, on Thursday. The central government has assigned Minister Magar with the responsibility of coordinating with the Far-west State government in terms of prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19.
On the occasion, Minister Magar said necessary coordination was being done regarding prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 and that the PPEs would be immediately handed to the State government. She said the government was working consciously to prevent coronavirus pandemic in view of the possibility of the State becoming the epicentre of COVID-19.
Minister of State Manandhar said the government was with the people at the time of crisis brought by COVID-19 pandemic.
