By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 14: Nepali Movie 'Euta Yasto Prem Kahani' has been released across the country coinciding with Maghe Sankranti today.
The movie was released after the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology approved censorship.
The much-awaited film has become the first one to be released amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Though the cinema hall operators had already announced the opening of the theatres, confusion had surrounded over the release of the film since the Ministry had halted the censor process.
The authorities carried on with the censorship on Tuesday after the protagonist of the film, Shiva Shrestha, along with the chairman of the Film Development Board, Dayaram Dahal and producer Akash Adhikari appealed to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for the same.
The Nepali feature film passed the censorship and received a Parental Guidance (PG) certificate which means children under the age of 16 would need parents' consent to watch the film.
Usually, in multiplex halls film producer gets 50 per cent share in the first week, 45 in the second week, 40 in the following week and 35 in the rest of the week, but this time the single and multiplex hall will give 55 per cent share to the producers as it has been learnt that apart from entertaining audience, the film also conveys special messages.
