Kathmandu, Mar. 10: With heavy downfall in the stock market, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) announced a negative circuit today, closing the trading.
This is the second time that the NEPSE suffered negative circuit break after last Thursday. The share market that was opened today after last Thursday nosedived from the very beginning of the transaction.
The transaction has been put off till 3:00 pm today after the downfall of more than 6 per cent in the share market. The NEPSE has decreased to 1349.31 point after losing 86.39 points today.
Prior to negative circuit break, transaction of more than Rs 1.7 billion of 161 companies' 2.73 million plus units were traded, according to the NEPSE.
In today's share market transaction, shares of Nepal Life Insurance, NIC Asia Bank and NMB Bank remained in the top list of the trading companies.
