By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 6: The Standing Committee meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is being held today afternoon, 1 pm, at the party's headquarters at Dhumbarahi.
NCP Chairmen duo, KP Sharma Oli, who is also the Prime Minister, and Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' are scheduled to present their separate reports in the meeting, as the Chairmen could not get a common ground to make a joint report, according to Satya Narayan Mandal, NCP standing committee member.
Mandal refuted media speculations that Chairman Oli would not participated in the SC meeting, saying, "There are wrong reports in some media that PM Oli , also NCP Chairman, would not attend the meeting. He will attend the meeting and also present his report."
Both the reports of the two Chairmen will be distributed to the SC members for study and the meeting is likely to extended for many days so as to provide the leaders to study the reports before starting discussions over the reports, according to NCP leaders.
It is expected that the Chairmen duo would hold meetings to formulate a joint report during the extension period of the SC meeting.
