Kathmandu, Dec 25 : Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction has launched street agitation against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).
The third central committee meeting of the Group held on Thursday decided to organize a nationwide demonstration against the government’s move of dissolving the HoR.
The Group demonstrated for around one-hour at Maitighar Mandala where NCP Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Madhav Kumar Nepal, senior leader Jhalanath Khanal, Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha, Standing and Central Committee members, members of the dissolved HoR were present.
The leaders, incumbent, and former lawmakers had demanded the reinstatement of HoR.
They had carried pamphlet reading ‘We are here’ to give a message that the HoR was not dissolved and a symbol of ‘Sun’ to give a message that it is their election symbol.
The leaders and cadres had reached the Kantipath-based Election Office from Maitighar via Bhadrakali and Ratna Park.
Leaders and cadres of the Bibeksheel Sajha Party have been demonstrating at Maitighar soon after the demonstration of Prachanda-Nepal Group.
