Banepa, Aug. 2 : Namobuddha municipality of Kavrepalanchowk district has started distributing social security allowance (SSA) to the people with disabilities reaching to their doorsteps.
A team comprising employees of municipality's social security section and bank staffs has started distributing allowance to those who had yet to receive SSA of the third quarter of last fiscal year.
According to the municipality sources, the team has started distributing SSA through mobile banking reaching to the doorsteps of the needy section.
On Sunday, a team with Lumbini Development Bank staffs distributed social security allowance to 20 residents of ward-2.
Social Security Section chief of the municipality, Shyam Khanal informed that they have initiated distributing SSA to those with severe disability and chronic disease who could not reach to the banks to receive the allowance they are entitled to.
There are 3,291 people eligible to receive social security allowance from the municipality.
