By Tara Chapagain, Kaski, Oct. 12: The monsoon session of Gandaki State Assembly, which had started from May 24, will end from Monday midnight.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and spokesperson of the State government, Ram Sharan Basnet, said that the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the State held on Monday morning had decided to conclude the monsoon session.
A total of 62 meetings were held in the monsoon session and 14 bills were passed by the assembly. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the assembly session was disrupted for about one month.
Likewise, the meeting of he Council of Ministers of the State has decided to approve the appointment of the required officials at Gandaki University. "Some 98 temporary appointments have been approved including the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor," said minister Basnet.
The State government has also given approval to the Gandaki University to frame Teachers and Officials Rule, Organisational and Educational Administration Rule and Financial Administration Rule.
Moreover, the government has directed and given the approval to form a 7-member committee for the operation and management of infectious disease hospital in Lekhnath, Pokhara. The Chairman of the committee would be appointed by the government.
