Bhaktapur, July 1 : A man believed to be the main designer behind the bomb blast carried out in the residence of former Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has been arrested. Bijaya Shahi known as Ain Bahadur was arrested by police.
He is reportedly the Bhaktapur Secretary of the banned Netra Bikram Chand led party. A resident of Kalikot, Shahi was arrested from Thimi, according to DSP of Bhaktapur Dipak Giri.
The residence of Banskota at Lokanthali in Madhyapur Thimi-1 was damaged in the bomb blast carried out on March 11. Shahi was on the run since the incident. Four others have already been arrested on the charge of involvement in the incident.
