Bara, July 2 : Four women were killed after lightning struck them at Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-12 and Feta Rural Municipality-1 in Bara district this morning.
Spokesperson of District Police Office, Bara Gautam Mishra said that Aasha Devi Mahato, 35, and Halima Khatun, 45, died after the lightning struck them when they were planting paddy seedlings in the Shitalpur farm.
According to Mishra, 30-year-old Indu Devi Mahato and Sunarpati Devi Mahato, 40, of the same family also died on the spot when the lightning occurred at their home in Feta. Five others are hurt after the incident in Feta, the police said.
