Karnali, July 15: The Karnali province government is to introduce the province's budget for the fiscal year 2021/22 through an ordinance.
The province government had on June 15 presented in the Province Assembly a budget of Rs 36 billion 546 million 600 thousand for the next fiscal year.
The Province Assembly meeting held from time to time after that could not hold discussions on the budget due to the obstruction by the main opposition party, CPN (UML).
Considering this situation, the provincial government is preparing to bring the budget through ordinance, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Gopal Sharma said.
Karnali Province Chief, Govinda Prasad Kalauni, prorogued the Eighth Session of the Province Assembly to be effective from Wednesday midnight, on the recommendation of Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi.
