Damak, Mar. 26 : The meeting of the district COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) has decided to operate all the closed hospitals and isolation centres designated for COVID-19 in Jhapa.

According to Chief District Officer Shrawan Kumar Timilsina, the decision to operate the COVID-19 designated hospitals and centres was made by the meeting held by CCMC on Tuesday.

High alertness has been adopted as the district is connected with India. The use of masks has been made compulsory in the district. An arrangement has been made to punish those who do not use masks in the public places.

According to Timilsina, the meeting has also decided to punish those who neglect the public health protocols.

The number of people following the health protocols is declining of late, due to the decreasing cases of COVID-19, but the risk is still high, said Timilsina.
