By Tara Chapagin, Kaski, Apr. 28: The meeting of the special session of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly has been put off for today after a lawmaker of the assembly was reported to have gone missing.
Next meeting of the session has been uncertain as the notice of the assembly issued today read that a notice would be issued for the next meeting.
Provincial lawmaker Khim Bikram Shahi who represented Rastriya Janamorcha, was reported to have gone missing by the party whip Piyari Thapa. Thapa had written to the assembly to put off the meeting and help make public the whereabouts of lawmaker Shahi.
The Rastriya Janamorcha had decided to vote against Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung and the assembly meeting was to decide on the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.
