By Our Correspondent, Saptari, March 9: A ‘grand’ water fun park will soon be ready at Tilathi Koiladi for people to indulge in some splashy summer time getaway. The project has already moved beyond the conception phase with the Detailed Project Report (DPR) already prepared. Rural Municipality Chairperson, Satish Kumar Singh informed that the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has invested Rs. 34.9 million for the project while the local level has contributed Rs. 50 million.
The park, which is said to be located at Belhi Ward No. 1, is envisioned as a way to lure domestic as well foreign tourists, especially targeting visitors from across the border. According to Chairperson Singh, the water fun park might relocate elsewhere if the available space at Belhi isn’t enough to harbour the entire project.
“We haven’t issued the tender yet, because we are still analysing possible spots. However, once the tender contract is agreed upon, the water fun park will not take more than a couple of years to come into fruition,” he added.
