Kathmandu, Nov 8: The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is auctioning off treasury bills worth Rs 6.1 billion.
Of the bills, the 91-day Rs 100 million worth of treasury bills will mature on February 8 and 182-day Rs 6 billion worth of treasury bills on 10 May, 2022.
The NRB issues treasury bills to mobilise short term loans for the government.
The auctioning will remain open online today at 2 pm, said the NRB. Financial institutions NRB categorised Group 'A', 'B' and 'C', other financial institutions, non-banks and financial institutions can participate in the bidding.
The bank on Tuesday will issue the bills to the highest bidders. Earlier on November 1, the central bank auctioned treasury bills worth Rs 1.66 billion.
