By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Apr. 7: Bagmati Province has achieved a 100 percent vaccination rate against COVID-19 for people over 18 years.
On the occasion of the national typhoid vaccination program organized by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), the Health Minister of Bagmati Province, Nima Lama informed that the Bagmati Province has administered a 100 percent vaccination rate to the targeted population above 18 years residing in the Bagmati Province.
He said, “A total of 84 percent of children aged between 12-17 years have received the first dose, while, 62 percent of children aged between 12-17 years have received both doses.”
On a different note, he said that the Kathmandu Valley and other districts fall in the risk zone of typhoid disease. Of the 1,252,549 children to receive typhoid doses, 497,000 are from the Kathmandu Valley alone.
