Solukhumbu, Aug 11 : Services of the District Administration Office Solukhumbu have been shut up to August 17 after its staffers confirmed to have contracted coronavirus.
According to Acting Chief District Officer Urmila Khatiwada, all services excluding security and semi-judicial cases have remained closed since Wednesday.
Sharing that two staffers of the citizenship section of the office tested positive for coronavirus, she said preparation was underway to carry out COVID-19 tests of other staffers.
Issuing a notice on Tuesday, the district administration has begged apology for the inconvenience caused to the service seekers due to the closure of public service delivery.
The office sources said risks of coraonvirus transmission had also increased with the rise in influx of service seekers with the relaxation of prohibitory order.
Acting CSO Khatiwada further informed that daily 15-20 people used to turn up to the office for obtaining citizenship certificates and same number for obtaining passport.
Likewise, the services being delivered by the District Land Revenue Office have also been shut. Issuing a notice on August 6, the office said that the public services have remained closed after two of its employees contracted virus. The service would remain closed up to August 15, shared land revenue officer Padma Aryal.
