Dhading, Nov 30 : A remittance agency in Dhading district remitted almost a billion rupees in four months. Kala International Pvt. Ltd, a remittance agency, received Rs 998.2 million in remittance in the first four months of the current fiscal year.
The company's manager Ram Chandra Giri said that women account for 90 per cent of the total remittance receivers in Dhading.
The company received Rs 335.5 million in remittance in a month's period from mid-September to mid-October, the festival time in Nepal.
The money was received mostly from Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Dubai, Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan-- the major countries of destination for Nepali migrant workers.
