Bagmati, Sept 27 : The Road Division Office, Hetauda has proceeded to take action against 21 construction companies who have failed to complete agreed projects in time.
The companies would be blacklisted and their contracts with road projects based in Makawanpur, Bara and Parsa districts were cancelled as per the Clause 59 of the Public Procurement Act, 2063, according to the Office Chief Yogesh Suman.
They were forced to resort to this move as the companies did not come in contact despite issuing a notice in this regard time and again, he said. The road project contract was reached with the companies 11 years ago.
The companies in question include seven based in Makawanpur, six in Parsa, three in Bara and one in Kathmandu. Bank collateral put by the companies in question would be taken and remaining money to be paid recovered, said Suman.
Efforts were underway to take action against other construction companies failing to complete projects, he said.
