By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 11: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Wednesday confirmed 1,261 new cases of COVID-19 in Kathmandu Valley.
"In 10,081 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 1,261 persons were found to have been infected with the novel coronavirus infection in the Valley itself," said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the press briefing today.
Of the 1,261 new cases, 976 were reported in Kathmandu, 81 were recorded in Bhaktapur and 204 were detected in Lalitpur.
Moreover, some 2,569 cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation on Wednesday, taking the national tally to 202,329 including 162,243 recoveries and 1,174 fatalities.
