New release dates of three films announced

New release dates of three Nepali films, Ma Yesto Geet Gaauchhu 2, Lappan Chappan 2 and Ye Mero Hajur 4 have been announced. Ma Yesto Geet Gaauchhu 2 will be released on February 25 while Lappan Chappan 2 will be released on March 4.

Consensus needed to decide MCC: Speaker

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has stressed the need for consensus among all political parties on the sensitive national issues like accepting or rejecting the American grant Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Speaking with media persons after the all-party meeting called by him on Monday, the Speaker said that his role was like of an umpire on the issue. “I am like an umpire on the MCC, the parties have to decide whether it should be accepted or rejected,” he said.

‘Impeachment motion filed to end impasse in judiciary’

Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said that the impeachment motion was registered against Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana after he failed to end the impasse in the Supreme Court. EC to begin party registration from Feb. 17
