Minister Karki pledges support to solve COVID impact on business

Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, said on Friday that the government was ready to support the private sector in resolving the post-COVID challenges they are facing. Addressing the inaugural session of the CEO Conference 2022 organised by Management Association of Nepal (MAN), he said, "The government is ready to facilitate and help the private sector in identifying the challenges posed by the global pandemic and resolve them."

'Credit growth only supporting import trade'

Karnali Hydropower compensation finalised

Compensation has been fixed for the victims of the Karnali Semi-reservoir Hydropower Project, which is being constructed on the Karnali River between Achham and Surkhet districts. The lands of the residents of Dhakari and Turmakhand of Achham affected by the project will be compensated by classifying them into two groups. The compensation amount is determined by the recommendation committee chaired by the Chief District Officer dividing cultivated and non-cultivated land.
