House body asks govt to make preparations to fight Omicron

The Education and Health Committee under the House of Representatives (HoR) on Sunday directed the government to make necessary preparations against Omicron, the new variant of COVID-19. A meeting of the parliamentary committee decided to direct Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada and the government to get ready for the fight against new variant of coronavirus to save lives of people. Minister Khatiwada himself was present at the meeting.

NEA to build infrastructure in Bara-Parsa Industrial Corridor to supply 2,000 MW power in five years

The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is planning to build infrastructure enough to supply 2,000 MW of electricity in the Bara-Parsa Industrial Corridor in Province 2 within five years. The power utility is going to construct infrastructure of power transmission and distribution lines in Simara, Nijgadh, Birgunj, Parwanipur, Pokhariya, Prasauni and other areas of Bara-Parsa Industrial Corridor targeting the existing and upcoming industries.
