DAO Kathmandu restricts crowded activities

The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu, on Tuesday urged the public to not engage in any crowding activities in the name of organising protests, gathering, rallies and demonstrations owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. Issuing a press release Tuesday morning, the DAO has warned that the group or individuals participating in rallies or gatherings during the time of the COVID-19 pandemic in Kathmandu would be taken legal actions according to the law.

Pashupatinath temple to reopen from Dec. 16

After remaining shut for nine months, Pashupatinath temple is finally going to be reopened for devotees from December 16. Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has decided to reopen the temple for devotees by strictly enforcing safety measures such as social distancing. The trust has prepared standards to be followed by the devotees while visiting the temple, said Dr. Pradeep Dhakal, member-secretary of PADT.
