Prostitution Thrives In Zimbabwe

As Zimbabwe’s economic crisis deepens, the country is seeing an increase in child prostitution, sometimes involving girls as young as 12. Two girls – Tracy and Melisa, ages 13 and 15 respectively – are typical examples. Having lost their parents, they travelled from their home in Gokwe, a small rural community in Midlands Province, to Kadoma, a busy mining town west of Harare.
