Federal ministers to inspect Darchula-Tinker road section

Construction of Darchula-Tinker road section under Mahakali Corridor has been at snail's pace although it was started some 12 years ago in 2008. Of 134 km long road section, only 44 km of track has been opened so far. Only last year, Nepali Army was entrusted with the task of opening the track remaining 87 km, from Ghantibagar to Tinker, as contract for construction of this section was not made even till last year.

Income from international tourism declines by 91.7 per cent in last eight months

According to the data of Nepal Rastra Bank, income from foreign tourism during the first eight months of the current fiscal year has stood at Rs 4.45 billion, a slash by 91.7 per cent compared to the income made last year in the same period. During the previous eight months, the country had made an income of Rs. 60.88 billion from international tourism.
