The first meeting of the Federal Parliament after the restoration of the House of Representatives (HoR) began on Sunday. Meeting of both the houses of the parliament- National Assembly and HoR- was held on the first day by entering into the regular agendas.

NRB survey finds public had estimation of high inflation

A recent survey by the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has showed that public perception about inflation is quite high with 94 per cent assuming that the price of goods and services will go up in a year’s period. Public expectation about the inflation in the next three months is staggering 86.9 per cent.

Plantation over in 76% paddy fields

Paddy plantation has completed in about 76.44 per cent of the total paddy fields across the country as of July 15. According to the statistics of the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, paddy plantation has been carried out in 1,048,507 of 1.37 million hectares of paddy fields. By July 15 last year, paddy plantation had completed in 81.58 per cent (1,119,091 hectares) of paddy fields.

Track test of Janakpur Railway done successfully
