Year-old girl dies after drowning in water-filled bucket   

A 12-month old girl has died after drowning in a bucket full of water at Agarwa of Kabilasi municipality-8 in the district. Nandani, daughter of Saroj Kumar Yadav of the municipality, drowned while playing, said the police.  

NA member election voting begins

Election for 18 new NA members taking place tomorrow

At a programme organised here today, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya shared the information that returning officer and security personnel have already reached the voting centres. Voting would take place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm for 18 National Assembly member posts.

Minister Magar inaugurates faecal sludge treatment plants in Jhapa

Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation Bina Magar today inaugurated two faecal sludge treatment plants in Jhapa district amid a function in Jhapa district. Invested jointly by the Nepal government and Mechinagar municipality, the project based at Kakadvitta and Duhagadhi is being operated as a pilot project by the small town water supply and sanitation project under the Ministry.
