Bagmati State chief minister's Victory Celebration best wishes

Bagmati State Government's chief minister Dormani Poudel has said the Gorkha-Mughal war has played a role in popularizing the bravery of the Gorkha soldiers in the world.     Chief Minister Poudel stated this in congratulatory message he gave today on the occasion of the 257th Victory Celebration of Makawanpurgadhi.   

Crusher industry operation banned  

With increasing complaint from the public, the operation of crusher industries are coming to halt in Mahottari district.     The District Monitoring Committee formed to oversee the consumption of natural resources and river products on Wednesday took a decision to ban the operation of crusher industries.   

Nepal directly enters global qualifier for ICC T20 world cup   

Nepal has gained direct entry into the Global Qualifiers for the ICC T20 Men's Cricket World Cup 2021.     Nepal will play the global qualifiers to be held in India next year. The global qualifying games will be participated in by 16 countries.

Delay payment impedes insurance programme in Bharatpur hospital 

Bharatpur Hospital has been providing service to the patients of 14 districts under its health insurance programme.     The Health Insurance Programme had come to effect in the district since 15 August 2017. The hospital has been providing insurance service to the patients as a first service point, shared hospital's information officer Leeladhar Poudel.

241 chhaugoths demolished in Dailekh

Total of 241 chhaugoths were demolished in different parts of Dailekh district. The government has launched chhaugoth demolition campaign in far western region in the country.     

Nepal improves in corruption ranking

Nepal secured 113rd position in a list of 180 countries of the world, scoring 34 points out of 100 points. Earlier in 2018, Nepal had secured 124th place with 31 points.

Only 10 local levels without bank access: NRB

According to a Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) report, only 10 local levels are without a bank. The 10 local levels are not able to set up bank branches due to geographical and logistics difficulties.    

State-2 periodic plan approach paper to bring quality change in people's living standard  

The State-2 government has set a target to reduce poverty rate by achieving high economic growth within next five years in order to bring quality change in the living standard of the State's citizens. 

Central Zoo going digital 

The Central Zoo is going digital relieving visitors of standing in a long queue for hours to book tickets.     Following this, zoo goers can book tickets online from anywhere. The zoo will go digital within the current fiscal year, 2076/77 as the administration is at work in this regard, said Dr Chiranjibi Prasad Pokharel, chief of the zoo administration.
