Two killed in road accident 

Two passengers were killed in a road accident at underpass at Kalanki road in the district.     The deceased are motorbike rider Rakesh Kumar Chaudhary, 19, of Kathariya Rural Municipality-4, Rautahat district and pillion rider Munna Chaudhary, 24, of the same place.

Butwal Hospital being expanded and upgraded 

The State -5 government has forwarded a plan to develop the Butwal State hospital as the sophisticated hospital.          For the purpose, the State government has started dismantling the haphazardly constructed business shutters in the hospital premises.         

WB approves US$ 200 million for earthquake housing reconstruction 

The World Bank has approved an additional credit of US$ 200 million (NPR 22.82 billion approximately) for the implementation of the Earthquake Housing Reconstruction Project (EHRP) in Nepal on January 14, 2020. An agreement to this effect was signed today by Mr Shreekrishna Nepal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Mr Faris H Hadad-Zervos, World Bank Country Manager for Nepal.    

ICC World Cup League Two Cricket: US-Oman clash today

United States of America and Oman are contesting in a match under the ICC World Cup Cricket League Two today. This is the second game under the triangular series.     In the first match of the triangular series played on Wednesday, Nepal faced a 18-run defeat at the hands of Oman in home ground.
