Sickle-cell lab to be established in Banke

The Kohalpur municipality is going to set up the lab in subsidy from the Ministry of Health. The Ministry has released Rs 10.1 million of over Rs 30 million for the lab as the first installment.

Child killed in accident 

An eleven-year has been killed after being hit by a mini truck at Kamalbinayak of Bhaktapur-10.     The Metropolitan Police Range Bhaktapur confirmed the death of Tilak Makaju of the same locality in the accident involving the vehicle (Ba 3 Ka 3588) en route to Brhamayani from Chayamasingh. The accident happened on Sunday.    

BP Highway obstructed 

The BP Highway has been obstructed following death of a man in an accident at Khurkot of Golanjar rural municipality-7 in Sindhuli.     As a result, passengers en route to Kathmandu and vice-versa have left stranded due to the obstruction.    

President Bhandari to visit Baitadi on February 27  

President Bidya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to reach Baitadi on February 27. On the occasion, the Head-of-the -State will be given a public felicitation by the local people of Dasharathchanda municipality and Patan municipality on behalf of the people of the whole district, said Chief District Officer, Baitadi Ananda Poudel.    

Home Minister stresses on strong export-based economy 

Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has said the export-oriented economy should be made stronger.     He said this while inaugurating the 'trade analysis and export promotion training' organised by Trade and Export Promotion Centre Kathmandu in Ratnanagar today.
