COVID-19: Tally crosses 1,100 in Karnali State

The total number of coronavirus infected has crossed 1,100 in Karnali State, an official confirmed.     Chief of Health Service Division at Social Development Ministry Dr Laxmi Narayan Tiwari said that the number of infected reached 1,104 including 82 females with the addition of 18 more cases on Wednesday in the State.

Traffic resumes along Narayanghat-Muglin section   

The Narayangadh-Muglin road section, which was obstructed from 4:15 am on Wednesday after a landslide, opened for traffic at 10:00 last night.    

Two arrested with brown sugar in Kanchanpur  

Personnel of the Armed Police Force, Nepal, arrested two people from Belauri area in Kanchanpur district on Wednesday with a cache of brown sugar packets.    

Three persons including policeman test positive 

Three individuals including a police constable working at Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, tested positive for coronavirus infection on Wednesday in Bhaktapur district. The policeman is a permanent resident of Changunarayan Municipality in the district.    

Communications Minister assures nationwide expansion of 4G by next year

He pledged the fair distribution of public welfare advertisement through a set procedure and criteria after the establishment of Advertisement Board. As he claimed, the fresh budget has addressed the issues of media more than those in the past. Processes have begun to operate Radio Nepal and Nepal Television under the Public Service Broadcasting so as to develop them as autonomous and competent entities.

Ministry releases budget for quarantines, holding centres

Ministry Spokesperson Basanta Adhikari said the ministry released Rs 132 million for the quarantines at 176 local levels and Rs 27 million for 20 holding centres to be set up at 20 local levels where the people enter the country via land routes.
