Sixteen illegal crusher industries ordered shut in Sarlahi

The crusher industries operating in violation of the Guidelines on Extraction, Sale and Management of Stone, Aggregates and Sand have been ordered shut, said Chief of the district Police Office, Superintendent Santosh Singh Rathour. He added that these industries were also flouting the standards set by the District Environment and Disaster Management Section.

Whereabouts of 16 missing in monsoon-induced disasters in Baglung still unknown  

The whereabouts of 16 people missing in landslide and floods during the monsoon were still unknown.     Among the 15 went missing in the flood at Bhuji Khola at Dhorpatan Municipality-9 in Baglung district on September 3 while 22 had died in the incident.

The lockout at Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality has been lifted after an understanding.      The Municipality and the protesting political parties have reached an agreement that the Chairperson of the School Management Committee would be selected from among the parents until February 12, 2021.     

     Banke sees two additional COVID-19 related deaths 

Two people have lost their lives to coronavirus infection in Banke this morning. Corona resource person of District Health Office Banke, Naresh Shrestha informed that a 41-year-old man of Nepalgunj sub-metropolis-7, Ranitalau and a 53-year-old man of Kohalpur municipality-10 died this morning while undergoing treatment at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital Kohalpur.    

Bhaktapur municipality brings into operation a 75-bed isolation centre   

The Bhaktapur municipality has brought into operation a 75-bed isolation centre for the treatment of its coronavirus infected citizens. The municipality has kept 10 COVID-19 infected patients in the isolation centre and the number is gradually increasing. Bhaktapur had transformed its multi-purpose building based in Brahmayani into the 75-bed isolation.    

     Chandragiri spends Rs 22.7 million for corona prevention and treatment   

The Chandragiri municipality has spent Rs 22.7 million for the prevention, control and treatment of coronavirus infection. Chandragiri, the main entry point to the Kathmandu Valley, has so far made the expenses in the headings of quarantine construction, procurement of medical appliances and relief distribution following the government-enforced lockdown to contain coronavirus spread.
