NAC bringing bodies of 17 Nepalis from Malaysia

The plane will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport for Malaysia at 11pm today for this purpose. It will land in Kathmandu at 8.40 am on Saturday, bringing the bodies. NAC is bringing the bodies of the Nepalis as part of its corporate social responsibility, NAC spokesperson Karishma Shrestha said.

No-confidence motion against CM Poudel filed at provincial assembly

In today's meeting of Bagmati Provincial Assembly, Arun Prasad Nepal, who resigned from the post of Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment, presented the no-confidence motion. Three provincial assembly members including three ministers of the ruling party had registered a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Poudel on December 25, 2020.

Two rhinos found dead 

Two rhinoceroses have died of natural cause in Chitwan National Park (CNP). A calf was found dead at the location inhabited by wild buffaloes at Purano Padampur while a dead male adult rhino was discovered at Dumariya.

Operation of vehicles has been banned on the under-construction project area on the Bhimphedi-Deurali-Kulekhani road section for two days from January 23. 

Bagmati Province Assembly meeting to discuss no confidence motion today

The seventh meeting of the Bagmati Province is resuming at 1:00 pm today. The Province Assembly secretariat informed that the meeting being held today would initiate general discussion on no-confidence motion filed against Chief Minister Dormani Poudel.

Ghunsa people leave settlement to avoid severe cold   

The people at Ghunsa village of Phattanglung Rural Municipality-6 in Taplejung district have left the settlement to avoid cold in the wake of snowfall. Seven households left the home and reached Kathmandu, while four shifted to district headquarter Phungling bazaar.    

Export increases in first six months of current fiscal year
