Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has stressed the need of reviewing the common agenda of education as guaranteed in the constitution.

35 houses gutted in fire 

Thirty-five houses were gutted in a fire that took place at Mulli in Dhipugaon, ward no. 9 of Tila rural municipality of Jumla. A total of 35 houses among the 75 houses in Mulli have already been turned into ashes in the fire, ward chair Sher Bahadur Bohara said.    

Chaunri festival in Tinsimana on New Year   

A Chaunri festival is being held in Tinsimana of Falelung rural municipality-4 of Paanchthar district on the occasion of New Year 2078. The festival is being organized by local organisations promoting Chaunri or mountain cow farming and tourism, with the financial support of the rural municipality.    

One killed in road accident in Bhimfedi  

One person has died when a container truck hit a motorcycle at Sanutar in Bhimfedi rural municipality of the district. The accident took place last night when a container truck (Na. 5 Kha. 8129) hit the motorcycle (Na. 19 Pa. 896) coming from the opposite direction.    

Special attention needed on development works: CM Bhatta  

Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province Trilochan Bhatta has said that special attention should be paid while carrying out development and construction works in the province.  

New VISA rule for foreigners in South Korea   

 The Law Ministry of South Korea has introduced a new rule of VISA extension for foreign citizens in the country. According to the new rule, VISA extension will now apply only on valid passports i.e. the passport which has not expired and has a valid date.    

Two killed, seven injured in road accident   

Two people have died and seven others were injured in a road accident that took place at Rangrung in Salikot rural municipality-2 of the district. The accident took place on Saturday evening when a jeep (Na. 5 Cha. 3298) returning from Barpak fell off some 200 meters below the road.
