Air service disrupted since 5 days   

The air service linking Humla district with other districts remains disrupted for the last five days. Flights to and from the district could not take place due to the incessant rains throughout the country including in Humla.    

Relief goods dispatched to Melamchi area   

Relief materials worth more than Rs 2 million have been dispatched for distribution to the flood and landslide victims in Melamchi area of Sindhupalchok district.   

Seven persons still missing after rainstorm in Jaljala highlands  

The condition of seven persons who went missing in the Jaljala highlands of the district after a rainstorm is still not known. They had gone to the alpine meadow in Jaljala on Tuesday for grazing their livestock.

Two Chinese and one Indian national die in Sindhupalchok floods   

Three foreign nationals have died after they were swept away by flash floods in the Melamchi rivulet and the Indrawati rivulet following incessant rains in Sindhupalchok district. Thirteen persons are still missing in the floods, it is stated.    

Four go missing in Tungtung landslide in Jumla

Similarly, two others injured in the incident Suk Bahadur Nepali and Tara Nepali are reported to be in serious condition, said district police office Chief Dan Bahadur Thapa. He added that two more injured in the landslides are yet to be identified. It has been reported that they had been there in search of precious medicinal herbs.

One way traffic resumed along Butwal-Palpa road section

One-way traffic has been resumed at the Butwal-Palpa road section along the Siddhartha High Way from this afternoon. The road section obstructed at Gaindepul along the road section due to landslides resumed from this afternoon, said Butwal Traffic Police Office.

Police arrest man with pistol, ammunitions   

The police have arrested a man with a pistol and five live cartridges from Triyuga-12 in Gaighat in Udayapur district.
