Landslides disrupt Parbat-Baglung road section of Mid-Hill Highway   

The Parbat-Baglung road section along the Mid-Hill Highway has remained obstructed for the last three days. Landslides occurred at Kushma municipality-8, Sundarekhola, Chuwabhir and ward no. 2, Nayapul disrupted the road traffic.   

Motorcyclist die in road mishap 

A motorcyclist died in a road accident occurred at Madhyapurthimi municipality-4, Chardobato along the Araniko Highway. Critically injured Bhattarai breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Madhyapur Thimi Hospital.    

Landslide-buried body recovered after 11 hours 

Lifeless body of a man who went missing in the landslide in Rishing rural municipality of Tanahun was recovered after 11 hours. Khum Bahadur Thapa, 40, of Rishing-8, Majhkot went disappeared after being buried in the landslide debris at 5.00 am Thursday.     

Narayangadh-Muglin road section sees one-way traffic operation   

Vehicular movement has resumed one way following removal of landslide debris in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, Setidobhan.     The Narayangadh-Muglin road that had been obstructed due to landslides since 10.00 pm Wednesday has reopened with one-way traffic since 5.30 this morning.    

Public health expert warns of further risk of COVID-19

Public health expert Dr Rabindra Pande said the prohibitory order was relaxed not because the risk of COVID-19 fizzled out. “The coronavirus infection rate was still at 25 to 30 per cent. Test for the virus was not increased by the government nor shown interest by the public,” he reminded, adding there is the possibility of a third wave of Delta variant of the coronavirus.
