Rice ferried to remote Sirdibas Village 

After the road transportation was disrupted, helicopter has been used to ferry 150 quintals of rice to the remote Sirdibas village of Gorkha. Sirdibas lies in the northern belt of the district.    

Sanfe-Martadi highway obstructed again  

The Sanfe-Martadi highway has been obstructed again due to landslides triggered by heavy rainfall. The highway had just open a few days ago after being obstructed.    

PM for effective programme for minimizing tiger-human conflict 

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the authorities concerned to introduce effective programmes to limit wildlife-human conflict, including tigers.    

Stolen Nepali buffaloes brought back from India   

The buffaloes were stolen from Beldandi rural municipality-5 in Nepal and taken to the Tatargunj grampanchayat of India, some eight kilometers from the Nepali border.  

Vaccines from US to reach Nepal on Monday  

The 1.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines to be provided by the US government under the COVAX facility are to reach Nepal on Monday morning. The vaccines are being delivered from Brussels by the Johnson & Johnson company of the USA.
