Baglung collects over Rs 6.7 million in fine from vehicles in previous FY 

12,100 vehicles faced action in the fiscal year, 2020/21 for violating traffic rules. Over Rs 6.7 million in fine was collected from the vehicles, said the District Traffic Police Office.    

Two dead, five injured in accident 

Two persons died on the spot while four others were injured when a container met with an accident at the Thini River of Gharpajhong rural municipality-5 in Mustang district. The incident occurred this morning.    

Organic farming becomes reliable source of livelihood   

Farmers of Simalphanta at Shuklaphanta Municipality-7 have been attracted to organic vegetable farming. A group of 21 farmers have cultivated vegetables without using the chemical fertilizer and pesticides in four bighas of land.    

Reinstated parliament meets today

Janakpur-Jayanagar railway track speed to be tested   

A speed test is being carried out today of the Janakpur-Jayanagar railway track. The railway track speed testing and certification is being carried out as part of preparations to run the railway services, said its general manager Guru Bhattarai.
