Three local levels in Jumla launch ambulance service

Three local governments in Jumla, the district in Karnali Province, have lately launched the ambulance service. Hima, Sinja and Kanakasundari rural municipalities that lie in the Sinja Valley have recently started the facility, according to Hima rural municipality Chair Raj Bahadur Shahi.

UML 10th National Congress: Voting over, results to be made public in three hours  

The voting process that kicked off from 4 am today under the ongoing 10th National Congress of CPN (UML) at Chitwan district has concluded.     CPN (UML), Chitwan district Chairperson Parbati Rawal shared that a total of 1,092 votes were cast in the election. There are altogether 2,153 representatives for the National Congress. Election for chairperson, vice-chair and secretary has been over.     

There is need of people-oriented and scientific education in nation: Vice President

Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has underscored the need of pro-public and scientific education in the country.     The Vice President said so while inaugurating the Shreemad Bhagawat Saptaha Mahayagya, a weeklong religious scripture recitation programme that started at Chandikadevi Secondary School at Badbhanjyang, Chandragiri Municipality-2.  

Transportation of food grains to Humla   

A total of 78 quintals of food grains was transported to Limi at Namkha Rural Municipality-6 on Monday. Limi is located in the remote northern belt of Humla district.    

Minister Ale directs for acquisition of land to expand Dhangadhi airport  

Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has directed the subordinate bodies to advance process for acquiring land to expand the runway at Dhangadhi airport. Minister Ale gave such direction after inspecting the airport here Monday.    

WHO warns that new virus variant poses ‘very high’ risk

The World Health Organization warned Monday that the global risk from the omicron variant is “very high” based on the early evidence, saying the mutated coronavirus could lead to surges with “severe consequences.”
