One killed, two injured in road mishap   

One person was killed and two others injured when a motorcycle and a scooter collided near Bihani Pump of Gajuri Rural Municipality Ward No. 2 on the Prithvi Highway this morning. 

Six sections of Jomsom-Korala road completed   

Upgradation of six sections of Jomsom-Korala road under Kaligandaki Corridor has been completed. The Beni-Jomsom-Korala Road Project had signed a contract to build the 110-kilometer two-lane gravel road connecting Jomsom, the Mustang's headquarters, to the Chinese border point at Korala in seven sections. The construction began in 2016.    

Sudur Paschim wins National Women's Kabaddi Competition  

The Sudur Paschim Province has clinched the title of National Women's Kabaddi Competition 2078. In the final match of the competition held in Bateshwor rural municipality of Dhanusha on Saturday, Sudur Paschim won the match by by a huge margin of 54-8 points over Lumbini.    

Two injured in bear attack   

Two people have been seriously injured after being attacked by a wild bear in the district. The injured have been identified as Mahesh Ram Bhull, 32, and Kamala Chand, 40, of Pancheshwor Rural municipality-5.    

Unidentified man found dead  

An unidentified man of around 60 years old has been found dead in Athabiskot of Rukum. He was found dead in a hotel in Triveni Bazaar of Athabiskot Municipality-6.    

Distribute induction cooktops instead of dividends to cooperative share holders: Energy Minister Bhusal  

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Pampha Bhusal underlined the need for replacing LPG Gas in the kitchen of all Nepalis with the induction cooktop. 

Mercury plummets, increasing cold across country

Temperature has gone down across the Kathmandu Valley today. The minimum temperature of the Valley has recorded 5.4 degrees Celsius, the coldest this year.

The government has been accelerating the vaccination drive against COVID-19 and has already administered 20,234,822 doses of the vaccines to various target groups to date.

A person died and seven others were injured in a road accident at Tribenichowk of Baradashi Rural Municipality-3 in Jhapa district today morning. 

UML central committee meeting today   

The CPN (UML) Central Committee meeting is scheduled to be held in Bhaktapur today. The second central committee meeting after the 10th national congress of the CPN-UML will be held at 1:00 pm today in Gatthaghar of Bhaktapur.
