PM Oli assures of grand preparations for Xi Jinping's visit   

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said extensive preparations have been ensured to make the state visit by President of People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to Nepal beginning from Saturday successful.     

At least seven people killed, 50 injured in Sindhupalchok bus accident

At least seven people were killed and over 50 others injured when a passenger bus skidded off the road and fell around 200 meters at Badahere Chowk of Bhotsipa in Indrawati rural municipality-10, Sindhupalchok, said the police. They died on the spot.  

Chinese President's visit enthuse Nepal's tourism sector  

The two-day state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping that begins on October 12 has added energy and enthusiasm to the tourism sector of Nepal. The visit is expected to increase the number of Chinese as well as tourists from other parts of the world coming to Nepal.  

Exceeding bus fare returned   

Checking has been intensified in various road sections of Saptari after public complaints about transport entrepreneurs fleecing them during the Dashain festival. Most people returning to Kathmandu are being charged transport fare that is higher than fixed by the transport authorities.    

Trade with China: Nepal looking forward to export pork meat to China  

The Pig Industrial Park established in Pokhara targets to export pork meat to neighbouring China. The park was established with 70 per cent investment from the government and 30 per cent from the farmers considering the possibility of exporting pork meat.     

Meat shop monitored   

A joint market monitoring team has found four meat shops in Nepalgunj market operating without registration at the concerned authorities. The team monitored eight shops on Thursday.

Around 400 million people of its total 1.4 billion are of Buddhist faith in China while Nepal, with around 300 million population, has around 3 million its population following Buddhism, according to the census of 2011.
