NC parliamentary party expresses sorrow over Dhungel's demise

The Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former lawmaker and party leader Rameshwar Dhungel. He was a member of the then Constituent Assembly.

One killed in road accident in Chitwan 

A person succumbed to injuries when a bus overturned in a drain after knocking down a motorcycle in Chitwan district on Thursday night.     Injured in the incident, Suraj Poudel, 35, of Ratnanagar Municipality-10 in Chitwan district, was rushed to the Chitwan-based Old Medical College. He breathed his last during the treatment, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan.    

Cold affects normal life in Mahottari 

Increasing cold has affected normal life in the central-eastern Tarai including in Mahottari district. Cold wind that started sweeping the region since Tuesday afternoon has added to the cold conditions.    

Tourism zones being connected through air service 

The religious and tourism hotspots of eastern region have come under connectivity with private air companies operating package flight services.     Sita Air and Mountain Air have collaborated in operating flight services to Taplejung-based Pathivara Temple and Halesi and Lukla of Khotang among others from Bhadrapur and Biratnagar.   

Pesticide testing centre in operation in Chitwan 

Pesticide residue rapid testing lab has been brought into operation in Chitwan. The test of pesticide residue in vegetables and fruits brought to Metropolis Fruits and Vegetables Market at Bharatpur-2, Chhetrapur has begun since Tuesday.
