Tribhuvan Army clinches Int’l Tri-Adventure title

Dhading, Sept. 18: Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) ‘A’ sealed the 3rd CoAS International Tri-Adventure competition-2019 title on Wednesday.
TAC team members led by Rajiv Chand clocked 2 hours, 20 minute and 48 seconds to complete the race in front. The team also consisted of Prem Singh Manyal, Itasingh Tamang, Kamal Oli, Suresh Bhujel.
The event categorised in three separate events with total 43.7 k.m distance (6.7 k.m. running, 26 k.m cycling and 11 k.m. rafting) was kicked off from Baireni and ended up in Chauraundi of Dhading.
Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Purna Chandra Thapa conferred medals, trophy and cash prize of Rs. 150,000 to the champion to TAC team ‘A.’
Indian military team ‘B’ ended the race in 2 hours 26 minutes and 15 seconds to trail at second position. They received a cash prize of Rs. 100,000 and medals. Indian military team ‘B’ bagged the third position as they completed the race in 3 hours 18 minutes and 50 seconds. The team satisfied with a cash prize Rs. 75,000 and medals.
In women’s category, N.T.A team ‘N’ bagged the first position ending the race in 3 hours 18 minutes and 20 seconds. Paddles’ Nepal team ‘P’ ended the completion in 4 hours 14 minutes and 50 second to finish at the second postion. The winner and runners up in the women’s section bagged a cash Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively.
Indian Army team ‘A’ was declared the best international team of the event. The team got Rs. 50,000 cash and trophy.
