Kathmandu, Nov 19 : Nepali national women’s cricket team made a clean sweep of the Triangular Twenty20 International Series after they registered a 3-0 victory over host Qatar at West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Doha, Qatar on Thursday.
Nepal registered a 109 runs victory over host Qatar in their third match of the series. Earlier, Nepal thrashed Qatar by 61 runs in their second match and humiliated Qatar by 119 runs in the
first match.
Electing to bat first Nepal scored 164 runs with the loss of just three wickets in the allocated 20 overs match.
Vice-captain Sita Rana Magar completed her half-century remaining unbeaten with 82 runs off 72 balls. Her batting included seven boundaries.
Similarly, Jyoti Pandey scored 24 runs off 20 balls and Sarita Magar scored unbeaten 17 runs off 11 balls. Dolly Bhatta added 12 runs.
Angeline Mare, Saachi Dhadwal and Aysha grabbed one wicket apiece for Qatar.
Nepali women bowled very well as Qatar were restricted for 55 runs in the run chase. Qatar lost seven wickets.
Sabnam Rai, Saraswati Kumari and Skipper Rubina Chhetry took one wicket each to constrain the host team.
Aleena Khan scored the highest 19 runs off 33 balls for Qatar. Skipper Aysha contributed with 13 runs off 14 balls
