Kathmandu, Sept 9 : Sabitra Bhandari netted hat-trick as Nepal national women’s made an winning start at Nadezhda Cup 2019 as they registered a 8-2 comfortable victory over Kyrgyzstan at Central Stadium, Karakol, Kyrgyzstan on Sunday.


Nepal kicks off a campaign with a bang as Nepali striker Sabitra Bhandari alone scored four goals while Anita Basnet netted two goals and Dipa Rai and Niru Thapa netted one goal apiece in a huge victor of Nepal.


Bhandari opened Nepal’s account in the 4th minutes of the kicked off whistle and she scored her individual second goal in the 15th minute of the match and Bhandari completed her individual ht-trick in the 30th minute of the match.


Bhandari continued her domination over visitor as she scored her individual fourth goals in the 54th minutes.


Nepal will take on Uzbekistan on Monday in their second match of the tournament. A total four teams is vying for the title including host Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Nepal.

The top two teams will vies for the title.


Nepal national women’s team travelling to Kyrgyzstan as a preparation of the upcoming South Asian Games (SAG) which is scheduled to be held from 1 to 10 December at Kathmandu and Pokhara.
