Kathmandu, Sept 9: Nepal will face off Chinese Taipei in their second away match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 second round qualifiers.
Nepal national football team is working hard to give their best performance against Taipei in their second match of the qualifiers which is scheduled to be held at Chinese Taipei on Tuesday.
Head Coach of the Nepal national football team Johan Kalin said that his team will perform very well against home team in their World Cup qualifiers journey.
Addressing the pre match conference held at Chinese Taipei, Coach Johan Kalin said that for some reason the Nepali team had failed against Kuwait in our first way match in 6th September.
“We need to be back on track, hopefully we know where we made mistakes and we need to go back to our way of playing so that we do not repeat similar mistake against Kuwait in the Taipei clash,” Coach Kalin said.
“Chinese Taipei is a higher ranked team and it would be wrong to regard them a weak team of the group. It is a very strong and tough game for us; it is same as Kuwait. The team had beaten Hong Kong recently and we have a plan against them which we cannot disclose before the game. The biggest thing for the team is to get back on track, to play our natural game,” Coach Kalin added.
“If we put good performance, we will get points against Taipei,” Kalin.
Nepal national team captain Kiran Chemjong is all set to battle against the home team. “We are fully prepared ahead of the landing at Chinese Taipei, we played against Kuwait recently but we are ready to face the rivals,” captain Chemjong said.
