ANFA bid farewell to U-16 football team

Kathmandu, Sept 11: All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Wednesday has bid farewell to Nepal national U-16 Football Team for the AFC U-16 Championship qualification which is scheduled to be held from Saturday.
ANFA bid farewell to 31-members football team at ANFA Complex Satdobato, Lalitpur. Minister for Youth and Sports, Jagat Bahadur Sunar, ANFA president and others official had jointly bid farewell all the players. The team will leave for Jordan on Thursday.
Nepal has been drawn into the group ‘A’ alongside host Jordan, Kuwait, Tajikistan and Sri Lanka in a tough group. Nepal will encounter host Jordan in their opening match of the tournament on Saturday.
Nepal will meet Kuwait in their second match of Monday and Nepal will face Tajikistan in 3rd September. Similarly, Nepal will take on its well-known rival Sri Lanka in 22nd September.
The top team of the each group and the best five runner-up teams will be advanced into the final round of the tournament.
The 47 AFC member teams had participating in the tournament.
