Kathmandu, Dec : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will address the closing ceremony of the 13th South Asian Games through a video conference. The closing ceremony will be held at Dashrath Stadium, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu on Tuesday.
National Sports Council (NSC) member secretary Ramesh Kumar Silwal informed that the PM KP Sharma Oli would address the close ceremony of the regional mega sporting event of the South Asia, the 13th South Asian Games. PM Oli will address the nation focusing on sports on Wednesday. In this address he is likely to announce a huge package to players such as prizes, incentives and facilities to the players and official, Silwal told media persons at press meet held at the NSC.
Due to his health condition, the PM will be addressing the closing ceremony of the event through the video conference, he said.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister and Defense Minister Ishwor Pokharel will be the chief guest of the closing ceremony, South Asian Olympic Council (SAOC) and Nepal Olympic Council (NOC) president Jeevan Ram Shrestha, Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Kumar Bishwakarma and member secretary of NSC Ramesh Kumar Silwal will address the closing ceremony.
“All the participating teams will take part in the march-past during the closing ceremony. The host will hand over the SAG flag to the representative of Pakistan Government.”
The closing ceremony will feature culture and musical programmes, Silwal said.
“As we remained unable to invite large number of sports lovers at the stadium for closing ceremony because of our various constraints. We have arranged big screens at different parts of the city where closing ceremony programme will be telecast live. Traffic at Tripureshwor will be diverted to facilitated the public to watch ceremony in big screen,” Silwal added.

Closing Ceremony tickets sold out
All tickets of the South Asian Games closing ceremony and the men's football final between Nepal and Bhutan have been sold out.
According to Nepal's leading online payment gateway, e-Sewa, the official ticketing partner of 13th South Asian Games e-Sewa, it has sold out all the tickets for closing ceremony.
The Chief operating officer (COO) of e-Sew, Roshan Lamichhane, the Nation Sports Council (NSC) had provided it the rights to sell tickets for just 9200 seats, that included 8000 in the normal parapet and 1200 of the VIP parapet.
"We posted 5000 tickets in our official website after National Sports Council had given green signal for 500 tickets including VIP and normal parapet in the mid-night but all the 500 tickets were sold out by 8:00 AM Monday," e-Sewa COO Lamichhane said.
"After selling out of 5000 tickets we stopped our online ticketing and we approached National Sports Council (NSC) member secretary Ramesh Kumar Silwal who allowed us to sell additional tickets. We resumed our online ticketing after 12:00 noon and opened online ticketing for 4200 tickets but it all finished within a half an hour," Lamichhane added.
Earlier, Nepal's one and only international stadium, Dashrath Stadium, had a capacity of around 30,000. After the re-construction of the Stadium, the capacity was reduced to the 14,000 including 9,000 in the normal and 5,000 in the VIP parapet.
