NA election process to begin from tomorrow


By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 31: The election process for the election of 19 members of the National Assembly is slated to begin from tomorrow, Saturday, according to the Election Commission, Nepal.

Shaligram Sharma Paudyal, spokesperson of the EC, informed that the election process for the NA election to be held on January 26 will start from tomorrow.

The election for the NA members is slated for January 26.

There are programmes to publish the final name list of candidates, provide election symbols to the parties between January 4 to 9 and then enforce the code of conduct of the election.

There are 2025 voters, 1493 from the local levels and 532 from the provincial assemblies, for the NA election, and that eight voting centers and 14 voting booths have been fixed, according to the EC.

So far, 12 political parties have been registered at the EC for the NA election.
