Hongkong 100 ultra Marathon provides assistance to SSDRC

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 28: A Hongkong-based Hongkong 100 ultra Marathon has donated Rs. 3,16000 through Mix and Match Society Hongkong to Special School & Rehabilitation Center (SSDRC).

Established in 2010, SSDRC is dedicated to health, education, rehabilitation or the basic human rights of autistic children in Nepal.

“We are going to invest the amount to erect a compound wall for our new building which is under construction in Bhaktapur,” said Sabita Upreti, founder chairperson of SSDRC, upon receiving the donation, adding, "Thank you to chairperson of Mix and Match society Mr. Dina Bagale for coordinating and initiating this donation towards SSDRC".

SSDRC has touched the lives of 300 children with Autism Spetrum Disorder (ASD) so far resulting in their improved lifestyle. It has provided training to teachers and parents as well. SSDRC is providing services for 52 children with Autism now, according to a press note of the SSDRC.
